The Jefferson Awards for Public Service Partnership recognized Stuart Hall's Duncan McDonnell for his service work during a homeplate event at the Giants game on August 26.
Terminal One Baggage Claim at SFO just got more interesting. Stuart Hall HS students curated a show called "Fly Over" with media from digital design to traditional drawing and painting.
Convent & Stuart Hall launched a new two-year research elective exploring Mediterranean ecosystem like that of the Bay Area with seven high school students traveling to the Kew Gardens in the U.K.

Let's face it; even though school has started, you still have a few tasks you need to remember to do. Here they are, in one spot.
Frank Duncan, the right-handed pitcher who led the Stuart Hall Knights and the University of Kansas Jayhawks to many victories, was selected in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball draft on June 7 and will play for the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. Frank was drafted in 2013 by the Cleveland Indians and elected to return for his senior year at Kansas, where he pitched in the College World Series in May. Kansas Head Coach Rich Price said, "I am really excited for Frank to be selected and chase his dream of playing professional baseball. He had a great senior year being named first-team all-conference, and he is completely prepared to play at the next level. I am really looking forward to watching the young man grow and continue his career in baseball."
Convent & Stuart Hall conferred degrees upon 65 high school seniors on June 6-7.
Congratulations to the Stuart Hall Baseball for a remarkable season. The Knights lost May 27 to the three-time defending NCS Champions in the semi-finals of the North Coast Section Playoffs. During the 2014 campaign, the Knights broke the all-time baseball win record by winning 20 games this season.
Senior catcher Gerald Reader was named the BCL West Most Valuable Player after completing his senior campaign. Sophomore pitcher Zach Avila and junior infielder Stephen Everest both received 1st Team Honors in the BCL West. Junior infielder Declan Ebeling and sophomore pitcher Willie Reader also received 2nd Team Honors. Freshman Achilles Arnold was also recognized as an Honorable Mention.
The second annual spring symposium on design thinking included a powerful lineup of speakers and an announcement for an unprecedented opportunity for students.
